If the student’s school is affiliated with our 6th Semester Program, students will have a chance to do up to three months of light rotations in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Ambulatory Surgery, while studying for the USMLE® Step 1. Up to 12 weeks of credit may be awarded by the student’s school.

During the course, the student’s progress is supervised and monitored on a weekly basis. Progression to subsequent rotations is based on an improvement in the student’s standardized exam scores. Advising, Tutoring, and Live lectures are also offered to 6th semester students.

The purpose of this course is to allow students to continue their clinical practice while continuing to prepare for the first step of the USMLE®.
